The University welcomes applications to its programmes of study from people from all walks of life. There is no upper age
limit on entry to most of our programmes; however, applicants must be 17 years old at the start of their course. Applicants
of 21 years old and over are considered as mature.
Our admissions policy is aiming at providing fair and equal access to a university education to all who have the potential
to benefit from it. Students may access degree programmes through the traditional high-school/secondary school leaving certificate
route or, alternatively, from a variety of foundation years (from Science through to Law) or a range of vocational qualifications.
The University offers a confidential and impartial pre-entry guidance service to assist individuals in making choices about
higher education courses and qualifications best suited to their future career aspirations and educational background.
The University offers a range of part-time degree, diploma and certificate programmes and the growing part-time undergraduate
body includes people from a range of professional and social backgrounds.
We allow for a wide range of entry criteria to be considered, in order to help people from non-traditional backgrounds
demonstrate their potential to succeed in higher education.
